Date: Feb 11 – Commit to Attending Justice G.A.

Staff Member: Leadership Development Associate Jeremie Bateman

Description: Watch a short videoabout why you should come to Justice G.A. Sign up, then send a message to two friends asking them to travel to Phoenix with you.
I’m committed to attending Justice GA in June, 2012!

Sure, it’s my job to be there.  But I also believe that our gathering in Phoenix will bear witness to injustice and oppression, support the wonderful work of our partners, and better equip us all to return home and continue the work in our own communities.

I invite you to join me.

Not sure about coming yet?  Let me share a few things with you that excite me about GA 2012.

The General Assembly Youth Caucus Deans have crafted a vision of a youth experience at GA that creates bonded communities, prepares youth to be justice leaders, is deeply spiritual and worshipful, and encourages opportunities for youth to be active participants in a multigenerational GA of service and witness.

Young Adult Caucus is putting together a schedule that provides opportunities for young adults to gather in fellowship, reflect on our faith’s call to action, worship together, network and share success stories and ideas for returning home, learn about justice issues in Arizona and anti-racism, anti-oppression and multiculturalism, and engage with the larger Assembly.

Beyond the Caucuses, General Assembly will feature opportunities for attendees of all ages to gather in worship, service, fellowship and witness, as well as to learn and grow together through trainings, presentations, reflection groups and more.  Programs throughout GA will provide attendees with the opportunity to engage in idea-sharing, skill-building and reflection.

Watch the GA Project for Youth and Young Adults page for information about scholarships, lower-cost housing options and more.

We invite you to join us.  Keep checking back at Blue Boat for more General Assembly plans for youth and young adults as they unfold.
