It’s important to apply if you want to shape our faith community! As I sometimes say, we need an association “worthy of our youth and young adults”!
The structure of the UUA Board of Trustees is changing starting in 2013. It will go from over 20 members (including a formal Youth Trustee position that votes, in addition to the Youth Observer) to a board of 11 at large members (and no formal Youth Trustee position but still having the Youth Observer). SO IT”S IMPORTANT THAT YOUTH RUN FOR TRUSTEE. The 11 at large trustees will be nominated by the UUA Board (4 of the 11) and by the UUA Nominating Committee (7 of the 11). To apply to the Nominating Committee you must get your applicaiton in by AUGUST 15, 2012! Applications will be available on uua.org, in the Nominating Committee section, within a day or two.
