Wanted: Summer Seminary Student Advisor

Serve as an Advisor to Youth Considering Unitarian Universalist Ministry

Summer_Seminary_14The second Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Summer Seminary will be held July 30 – August 4, 2014 in Chicago, IL.

The UUA seeks a current or recent seminary student to provide logistical, ministerial and other support.

 

Applications are due by May 27, 2014.

 

 

 

 

Role: Assist with logistics, supervision and planning of the Summer Seminary 2014 program (July 30-Aug 4, 2014 in Chicago, IL) for Unitarian Universalist youth who are considering becoming religious professionals (uua.org/summerseminary). Plan and lead worship services during the program, assist with other program elements as required.

Expectations: Join planning calls and communications for May-July. Remain onsite for the duration of the program during the summer, starting on July 29. All expenses for housing, food and transportation are covered for the role.

Requirements: Current or recent seminary student pursuing a career in professional religious leadership as a Unitarian Universalist, including as a religious educator, ordained minister or other role. Experience working with high school-aged youth is a must. Musical ability is preferred.

Compensation: $1250 stipend plus expenses.
