Get Connected: Social Media, Gatherings and More

What is the Youth Caucus Social Media presence? How can I connect with others while at GA?

Youth Caucus maintains a variety of online accounts to share what’s going on and provide opportunities to connect. Join, follow, like, and use our hashtags! On all platforms, the General Assembly hashtag is #UUAGA and the Youth Caucus hashtag is #GAYC. Try to use them both!

Youth Caucus 2014 on Facebook: a private group for those interested in the GA Youth Caucus. Share links, have discussions and keep in touch after GA is over.

@YouthCaucusGA on Twitter: links, photos, updates and live tweets from sessions. This account is used year-round for updates on Youth Caucus staff openings and more.

GA_Youth_Caucus on Instagram: a brand new account for sharing photos throughout General Assembly.

The General Assembly Program App also has some connection features, including tracking of the #uuaga twitter hashtag and a photo feed within the app, in addition to the scheduling, program info and the opportunity to earn points and badges.

Attending workshops and events listed in the Program Book or in our Programming Highlights is a great way to meet people. Beyond that, there are several ways to connect around shared interests, shared geography, or shared identity. Reminders of events will be posted in the Youth Caucus Room.

Meet-Up Board and Message Center: The Youth Caucus room will host a meet-up board for youth interested in connecting with others to attend workshops, share meals, trade ideas and more. Additionally, we’ll have a mail/message center for individuals to decorate their own “mailbox” envelope and leave messages for others.

Friendship Table: Setup in the Youth Caucus room will be a table designated for people to sit down if they are hoping to meet new people or need someone to hang out with. There will be craft supplies and some games at this table for use between workshops.

Luncheon for Youth and Young Adults of Color: Thursday, June 26th at 12pm in State Suite A in the Biltmore Hotel. This is an opportunity for Youth and Young Adults of Color to gather for fellowship and a free lunch provided by the UUA Ministries and Faith Development Staff group. RSVP to Rev. Dr. Monica Cummings at mcummings@uua.org

Post-Bridging Celebration: Are you bridging this year? Young Adults at General Assembly (YA@GA) invites you to celebrate after the Synergy service on Thursday evening. Beginning at 9:30pm in the YA@GA space on the lower level of the Dunkin Donuts Center, this celebration includes cake and coffee.

UUA Board of Trustees World Café: Connect with other youth and the UUA Board of Trustees over lunch on Friday in the Youth Caucus Room.

Other events and opportunities will be posted in the Youth Caucus room as they are made available.
