Dear Friends,

Thanks for participating in the first of many Sunday Challenges. We received exactly five correct responses, so everyone wins a copy of “Becoming”! This meditation manual, edited by Kayla Parker (former Campus Ministry Associate at the Unitarian Universalist Association), is for young adults in Unitarian Universalism.

Now, for the answers:

1793 is the year the Universalist Church of America was founded.

1825 is the year the American Unitarian Association was founded.

1961 is the year the two organizations Consolidated to found the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).

As noted by Aaron Stockwell in his response to our challenge, this seal used to reside in the floor of the elevator at 25 Beacon St, former headquarters of the UUA. When the UUA moved to 24 Farnsworth (affectionately known as “24”), it was framed and now hangs in the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries.

Keep your eye out at the end of the month for the next Sunday Challenge!

Sincerely,

Bart Frost
Director, Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries
