Every year at GA there is a public witness, which is the time at GA where Unitarian Universalists put into action their values about making the world a more equal and just place. This year the public witness will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday. Come to the UU College of Social Justice’s Activate Joyful Witness workshop on art & activism right before the public witness (3:15-4:30pm in the Youth Caucus room 217-219) to make art for the public witness! There will be a second line (a traditional New Orleans procession) where UUs and local activists will be marching under the theme of LoveResists. After the 0.9 mile walk there will be an array of speakers and music such as UU activists, New Orleans activists, a brass band and other local artists. We highly encourage youth to participate in this social justice event for youth are many times the face and future of many social justice movements.

The second line will be lead by the Young and Talented Brass Band.
