Get Involved and Lead at GA

Looking for ways to get involved? A number of areas are looking for volunteers. Also, there’s a plethora of ways to participate if you’re serving as a Congregational Delegate. Assembly Volunteers “Let’s Talk” is an hour of GA dedicated to talking – and listening to others talk – about our UU faith. Small groups of GA participants will be led through a process of “mutual invitation” by a facilitator. Needed: Facilitators and planners. Interested parties should contact Jessica York at jyork@uua.org. Facilitators must attend a 30-minute training session right before Let’s Talk and must be available Thursday from 5-6:30. What is the Youth Caucus Social Media presence? How can I connect with others while at GA? ONLINE Youth Caucus maintains a variety of online accounts to share what’s going on and provide opportunities to connect. Join, follow, like, and use our hashtags! On all platforms, the General Assembly hashtag is #UUAGA and the Youth Caucus hashtag is #GAYC. Try to use them both! What should you do before you arrive? What should you bring with you to General Assembly? Before your arrival: Did you submit your Youth Caucus Forms? If your forms are not submitted, you will be unable to pick up your name badge when you arrive at General Assembly until completed forms are provided. Without your name badge, you are unable to attend GA events. Don’t miss out! Submit your forms today. Questions about form submission should be directed to youth@uua.org. Andrew Weber Deans Deans are the leaders of the Youth Caucus Staff and represent the Caucus during General Assembly planning. They select programming and staff, and help organize all of Youth Caucus! Owen Huelsbeck, Tahoma Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Pacific Northwest District Owen loves being outdoors hiking or hanging out at the beach with his friends and a frisbee.
