Here is a story we found about youth supporting the Gay-Straight Alliance at their school. Send us your stories too! – Ed.

Hood River Youth Marching on the Side of Love

November 2, 2011 in All, Congregational News by PNWD News | No comments

During the month of October, Mid-Columbia UU Fellowship in Hood River, Oregon borrowed PNWD’s “Standing on the Side of Love” banner. Here’s a picture of their high school Gay Straight Alliance getting ready to march in the Homecoming Parade. Yay, MCUUF youth!

After marching behind the SSl banner they shipped it off to the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship to display during the month of November.

YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

If your congregation would like to borrow the district’s Standing on the Side of Love banner during the 2011/12 church year, please contact the district office to reserve your dates. This 4′ x 12′ banner is available for PNWD congregations to use at no charge.

Check out where the banner  has been since October 2009, and where it is going next here!
