Get Activated Before GA with the UU College of Social Justice

he UU College of Social Justice is excited to bring our Youth Justice Trainings to GA! Partnering with the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, we’ll be offering ACTIVATE! a pre-GA social justice training in Providence, RI on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
Our day will begin by exploring systems of oppression and social change, then work to apply our UU justice values to a shared issue area. The program will conclude with action plans to articulate and engage justice work during GA and back at home.
If you’re passionate about justice, if you want to make a change in your hometown, if you want to see what UUCSJ is all about – we hope you’ll join us.
ACTIVATE! registration will be open to anyone who qualifies for GA youth registration (grades 9-12 in 2013-2014, or the equivalent for home-schooled youth) – and it’s an incredible way to begin your GA experience a little early. We’ll have a busy, inspiring day together, and then wrap up before Youth Caucus orientation.
Details and registration will be available at uucsj.org concurrent with the GA registration process. We can’t wait to see you in Providence!
